1 Chronicles 4

Keturunan Yehuda dari cabang lain 4:1 Anak-anak Yehuda ialah Peres, Hezron, Karmi, Hur dan Syobal. 4:2 Reaya, anak Syobal, memperanakkan Yahat, dan Yahat memperanakkan Ahumai dan Lahad. Itulah kaum-kaum orang Zora. 4:3 Inilah anak-anak Etam: Yizreel, Isma dan Idbas; nama saudara perempuan mereka ialah Hazelelponi; 4:4 lalu Pnuel, bapa Gedor, dan Ezer, bapa Husa. Itulah keturunan Hur, anak sulung Efrata, bapa Betlehem. 4:5 Asyur, bapa Tekoa, mempunyai dua isteri, yakni Hela dan Naara. 4:6 Naara melahirkan baginya Ahuzam, Hefer, Temeni dan orang Ahastari. Itulah anak-anak Naara. 4:7 Anak-anak Hela ialah Zeret, Yezohar dan Etnan. 4:8 Kos memperanakkan Anub, Hazobeba dan kaum-kaum Aharhel bin Harum. 4:9 Yabes lebih dimuliakan dari pada saudara-saudaranya; nama Yabes itu diberi ibunya kepadanya sebab katanya: "Aku telah melahirkan dia dengan kesakitan." 4:10 Yabes berseru kepada Allah Israel, katanya: "Kiranya Engkau memberkati aku berlimpah-limpah dan memperluas daerahku, dan kiranya tangan-Mu menyertai aku, dan melindungi aku dari pada malapetaka, sehingga kesakitan tidak menimpa aku!" Dan Allah mengabulkan permintaannya itu. 4:11 Kelub, saudara Suha, memperanakkan Mehir, dialah ayah Eston; 4:12 dan Eston memperanakkan Bet-Rafa, Paseah dan Tehina, bapa Ir-Nahas. Itulah orang-orang Rekha. 4:13 Anak-anak Kenas ialah Otniel dan Seraya; dan anak-anak Otniel ialah Hatat dan Meonotai; 4:14 dan Meonotai memperanakkan Ofra. Seraya memperanakkan Yoab, bapa Lembah Tukang-tukang, karena mereka adalah tukang-tukang. 4:15 Anak-anak Kaleb bin Yefune ialah Iru, Ela dan Naam; dan keturunan Ela ialah Kenas. 4:16 Anak-anak Yehaleleel ialah Zif, Zifa, Tireya dan Asareel. 4:17 Anak-anak Ezra ialah Yeter, Mered, Efer dan Yalon. Itulah anak-anak Bica, puteri Firaun yang telah dikawini Mered. Perempuan ini melahirkan Miryam, Samai dan Yisbah, bapa Estemoa. 4:18 Isteri Mered, perempuan Yehuda itu, melahirkan Yered, bapa Gedor, dan Heber, bapa Sokho, dan Yekutiel, bapa Zanoah. 4:19 Anak-anak isteri Hodia, saudara perempuan Naham, ialah Abu Kehila, orang Garmi itu, dan Estemoa, orang Maakha itu. 4:20 Anak-anak Simon ialah Amnon, Rina, Benhanan dan Tilon. Anak-anak Yisei ialah Zohet dan Ben-Zohet. 4:21 Keturunan Sela, anak Yehuda, ialah Er, bapa Lekha, dan Lada, bapa Maresa, dan kaum-kaum para pengusaha kain lenan halus di Bet-Asybea, 4:22 lalu Yokim dan orang-orang Kozeba, lagi Yoas dan Saraf yang menguasai Moab dan kemudian pulang ke Betlehem; -- riwayat-riwayat ini tua. 4:23 Mereka ini adalah tukang-tukang periuk yang diam di Netaim dan Gedera; mereka diam di sana dan bekerja untuk raja. Keturunan Simeon 4:24 Anak-anak Simeon ialah Nemuel, Yamin, Yarib, Zerah dan Saul; 4:25 anak orang ini ialah Salum; anak orang ini ialah Mibsam; anak orang ini ialah Misma. 4:26 Keturunan Misma ialah Hamuel, anaknya; anak orang ini ialah Zakur; anak orang ini ialah Simei. 4:27 Simei mempunyai enam belas orang anak laki-laki dan enam orang anak perempuan; tetapi saudara-saudaranya tidak mempunyai banyak anak; seluruh kaum mereka tidak bertambah banyak seperti bani Yehuda. 4:28 Mereka diam di Bersyeba, Molada, Hazar-Sual, 4:29 Bilha, Ezem, Tolad, 4:30 Betuel, Horma, Ziklag, 4:31 Bet-Markabot, Hazar-Susim, Bet-Biri dan di Saaraim. Itulah kota-kota mereka sampai Daud menjadi raja. 4:32 Dan desa-desanya ialah Etam, Ain, Rimon, Tokhen dan Asan, lima perkampungan; 4:33 juga segala desanya yang di sekitar perkampungan-perkampungan itu sampai ke Baal. Itulah tempat-tempat kediaman mereka dan mereka mempunyai silsilahnya sendiri. 4:34 Dan Mesobab, Yamlekh, Yosa bin Amazia, 4:35 Yoel, Yehu bin Yosibya bin Seraya bin Asiel, 4:36 Elyoenai, Yaakoba, Yesohaya, Asaya, Adiel, Yesimiel, Benaya, 4:37 Ziza bin Sifei bin Alon bin Yedaya bin Simri bin Semaya -- 4:38 orang-orang ini yang disebutkan dengan nama-namanya adalah pemimpin-pemimpin di antara kaum-kaum mereka. Keluarga-keluarga mereka makin bertambah banyak. 4:39 Oleh sebab itu mereka pindah ke arah Gedor sampai ke sebelah timur lembah untuk mencari padang rumput bagi kambing domba mereka. 4:40 Mereka menemui padang rumput yang gemuk dan baik; negeri itu luas, aman dan sentosa; orang-orang yang diam di sana sebelum mereka berasal dari Ham. 4:41 Orang-orang yang namanya tertulis ini datang dalam zaman Hizkia, raja Yehuda, dan memusnahkan kemah-kemah orang Ham dan orang Meunim yang terdapat di sana dan menumpas mereka; demikianlah sampai hari ini. Kemudian mereka menduduki tempat orang-orang itu, sebab di sana ada padang rumput bagi kambing domba mereka. 4:42 Dan sebagian dari mereka, dari bani Simeon, sebanyak lima ratus orang, pindah ke pegunungan Seir. Sebagai kepala mereka ialah Pelaca, Nearya, Refaya dan Uziel, anak-anak Yisei. 4:43 Mereka membinasakan sisa orang Amalek yang telah meluputkan diri. Lalu mereka diam di sana sampai hari ini.

4:1 The sons of Judah [were] Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.
4:2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath, and Jahath begot Ahumai and Lahad. These [were] the families of the Zorathites.
4:3 These [were the sons] of the father of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister [was] Hazelelponi;
4:4 and Penuel [was] the father of Gedor, and Ezer [was the] father of Hushah. These [were] the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah the father of Bethlehem.
4:5 And Ashhur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
4:6 Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari. These [were] the sons of Naarah.
4:7 The sons of Helah [were] Zereth, Zohar, and Ethnan;
4:8 and Koz begot Anub, Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
4:9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore [him] in pain."
4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep [me] from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested.
4:11 Chelub the brother of Shuhah begot Mehir, who [was] the father of Eshton.
4:12 And Eshton begot BethRapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of IrNahash. These [were] the men of Rechah.
4:13 The sons of Kenaz [were] Othniel and Seraiah. The sons of Othniel [were] Hathath,
4:14 and Meonothai [who] begot Ophrah. Seraiah begot Joab the father of Ge Harashim, for they were craftsmen.
4:15 The sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh [were] Iru, Elah, and Naam. The son of Elah [was] Kenaz.
4:16 The sons of Jehallelel [were] Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
4:17 The sons of Ezrah [were] Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon. And [Mered's wife] bore Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
4:18 (His wife Jehudijah bore Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Sochoh, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.) And these were the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took.
4:19 The sons of Hodiah's wife, the sister of Naham, [were] the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and of Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
4:20 And the sons of Shimon [were] Amnon, Rinnah, BenHanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi [were] Zoheth and BenZoheth.
4:21 The sons of Shelah the son of Judah [were] Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of the linen workers of the house of Ashbea;
4:22 also Jokim, the men of Chozeba, and Joash; Saraph, who ruled in Moab, and JashubiLehem. Now the records are ancient.
4:23 These [were] the potters and those who dwell at Netaim and Gederah; there they dwelt with the king for his work.
4:24 The sons of Simeon [were] Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, [and] Shaul,
4:25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, and Mishma his son.
4:26 And the sons of Mishma [were] Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, and Shimei his son.
4:27 Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brothers did not have many children, nor did any of their families multiply as much as the children of Judah.
4:28 They dwelt at Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar Shual,
4:29 Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad,
4:30 Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag,
4:31 Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susim, Beth Biri, and at Shaaraim. These [were] their cities until the reign of David.
4:32 And their villages [were] Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashanfive cities
4:33 and all the villages that [were] around these cities as far as Baal. These [were] their dwelling places, and they maintained their genealogy:
4:34 Meshobab, Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah;
4:35 Joel, and Jehu the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel;
4:36 Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, and Benaiah;
4:37 Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah
4:38 these mentioned by name [were] leaders in their families, and their father's house increased greatly.
4:39 So they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
4:40 And they found rich, good pasture, and the land [was] broad, quiet, and peaceful; for some Hamites formerly lived there.
4:41 These recorded by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and they attacked their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and utterly destroyed them, as it is to this day. So they dwelt in their place, because [there was] pasture for their flocks there.
4:42 Now [some] of them, five hundred men of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, having as their captains Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
4:43 And they defeated the rest of the Amalekites who had escaped. They have dwelt there to this day.
