Terluput dari kesesakan 129:1 Nyanyian ziarah. Mereka telah cukup menyesakkan aku sejak masa mudaku -- biarlah Israel berkata demikian -- 129:2 mereka telah cukup menyesakkan aku sejak masa mudaku, tetapi mereka tidak dapat mengalahkan aku. 129:3 Di atas punggungku pembajak membajak, membuat panjang alur bajak mereka. 129:4 TUHAN itu adil, Ia memotong tali-tali orang fasik. 129:5 Semua orang yang membenci Sion akan mendapat malu dan akan mundur. 129:6 Mereka seperti rumput di atas sotoh, yang menjadi layu, sebelum dicabut, 129:7 yang tidak digenggam tangan penyabit, atau dirangkum orang yang mengikat berkas, 129:8 sehingga orang-orang yang lewat tidak berkata: "Berkat TUHAN atas kamu! Kami memberkati kamu dalam nama TUHAN!"

129:1 <> "Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth," Let Israel now say
129:2 "Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth; Yet they have not prevailed against me.
129:3 The plowers plowed on my back; They made their furrows long."
129:4 The LORD [is] righteous; He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked.
129:5 Let all those who hate Zion Be put to shame and turned back.
129:6 Let them be as the grass [on] the housetops, Which withers before it grows up,
129:7 With which the reaper does not fill his hand, Nor he who binds sheaves, his arms.
129:8 Neither let those who pass by them say, "The blessing of the LORD [be] upon you; We bless you in the name of the LORD!"
