| 12:1 Samuél banjur dhawuh marang bangsa Israél kabéh, ”Aku wis nuruti penjalukmu sarta wis netepaké raja kanggo kowé kabéh. 12:2 Wiwit saiki Saul sing bakal mimpin kowé kabéh. Déné aku wis tuwa lan wis uwanen. Aku wis suwé banget mimpin kowé kabéh, wiwit aku isih enom nganti sepréné. Déné buktiné anak-anakku wis gedhé-gedhé. 12:3 Saiki aku ngadeg ana ing ngarepmu. Yén aku wis nindakaké kaluputan, gugatan ana ing ngarsané Gusti Allah sarta ing ngareping raja sing padha kokpilih. Apa aku wis tau njupuk sapi utawa kuldiné wong liya? Apa aku wis tau ngapusi, nindhes utawa nampa besel? Kandhakna, supaya apa waé sing dakjupuk dakbalékaké!” 12:4 Aturé wong-wong mau, ”Mboten, bapak mboten naté ngapusi saha nindhes kula sedaya; bapak mboten mendhet menapa-menapa saking sok tiyanga.” 12:5 Samuél banjur dhawuh, ”Ing dina iki Allah lan raja sing padha dipilih dadi seksi yén aku ora duwé kaluputan.” ”Inggih, leres, Gusti Allah dados seksi kita,” aturé wong-wong mau. 12:6 Samuél banjur dhawuh menéh, ”Iya Gusti Allah sing milih Musa lan Harun, lan sing mbébasaké leluhurmu metu saka tanah Mesir. 12:7 Saiki aja padha lunga dhisik. Aku arep ndakwa kowé ana ing ngarsané Gusti Allah. Élinga marang sakabéhing kamirahané Gusti Allah sing wis diparingaké marang kowé kabéh sarta marang leluhurmu. 12:8 Nalika Yakub lan brayaté teka ing Mesir, lan wong Mesir nindhes wong-wong mau, leluhurmu padha nyuwun pitulungan marang Gusti Allah; Gusti Allah banjur ngutus Musa lan Harun. Wong loro kuwi ngirid leluhurmu metu saka Mesir sarta nulungi leluhurmu tetep manggon ing negara iki. 12:9 Nanging banjur padha lali marang Gusti Allah, iya Allahé wong-wong mau, mulané banjur padha diserang lan dikalahaké déning Siséra, sénapatining raja ing Hazor. Sabanjuré dipasrahaké marang tangané wong Filistin lan raja ing Moab, 12:10 banjur padha nyuwun marang Gusti Allah sarta ngakoni, 'Kawula sampun sami damel dosa, sebab sami nyingkur Panjenengan, sarta sami nyembah reca-reca Déwa Baal saha Astorét. Nanging, samenika, mugi Gusti ngluwari saking tanganing mengsah kawula, saha kawula badhé lajeng ngabekti dhateng Gusti!" 12:11 Gusti Allah banjur ngutus Gidéon, banjur Barak, sawisé kuwi Yéfta, lan wekasan aku. Kowé kabéh wis padha dakbébasaké saka mungsuhmu, nganti bisa urip kanthi tentrem. 12:12 Nanging bareng kowé kabéh padha weruh yén arep dilurugi Nahas raja Amon, kowé kabéh padha ngemohi Gusti Allah sing dadi rajamu, sarta matur marang aku, 'Kula kepéngin dipun préntah déning raja." 12:13 Saiki, delengen, yaiki raja sing kokpilih. Kowé wis padha nyuwun, sarta Gusti Allah wis maringi. 12:14 Padha tentrema uripmu, samasa padha ngabekti marang Allah, ngrungokaké lan mbangun-turut marang dhawuhé, apa menéh yén kowé kabéh lan rajamu tetep nindakaké dhawuhé Allahmu. 12:15 Kosokbaliné yén padha ora ngrungokaké dhawuhé Gusti Allah, kowé lan rajamu mesthi bakal dilawan déning Allah. 12:16 Saiki aja lunga dhisik! Gatékna kaélokan gedhé sing bakal ditindakaké déning Gusti Allah. 12:17 Aku bakal nyebut marang Gusti Allah, lan senajan saiki mangsa ketiga, Allah bakal nekakaké gludhug sarta udan minangka wangsulané pandongaku. Ing wektu kuwi, kowé bakal padha rumangsa, sepira gedhéning dosamu marang Allah, merga nyuwun anané raja.” 12:18 Samuél banjur ndedonga, lan ing dina iku uga Allah nekakaké gludhug lan udan. Bangsa mau kabéh padha wedi marang Allah lan marang Samuél. 12:19 Banjur padha matur marang Samuél, ”Bapak, kula panjenengan tulungi, supados kula sampun ngantos sami pejah. Samenika kula sami ngrumaosi dosa kula saha kula sampun sami damel dosa malih, inggih menika nyuwun kaparingan raja.” 12:20 Samuél mangsuli, ”Aja padha wedi! Senajan kowé wis padha nglakoni sakéhé piala, aja padha ngemohi Gusti Allah, nanging tetepa ngabdi kanthi gumolonging atimu marang Panjenengané. 12:21 Aja padha manut déwa-déwa, sing ora bisa nulungi lan nylametaké kowé, sebab pancén iya ora ana. 12:22 Gusti Allah wis sumpah yén ora bakal nilar kowé kabéh sebab wis mutusaké kowé kabéh dadi umat kagungané. 12:23 Déné aku, muga-muga aku ora gawé dosa marang Gusti Allah merga mandheg enggonku ndedonga kanggo kowé. Malah aku bakal terus mulang kowé prekara-prekara sing bener lan becik. 12:24 Gusti Allah padha urmatana lan kowé padha ngabdia marang Panjenengané kanthi setya lan gumolonging atimu. Élinga marang prekara-prekara gedhé sing wis ditandukaké kanggo kowé. 12:25 Nanging menawa kowé tansah gawé dosa, kowé lan rajamu bakal padha lebur.”   | 12:1 Now Samuel said to all Israel: "Indeed I have heeded your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you. 12:2 "And now here is the king, walking before you; and I am old and grayheaded, and look, my sons [are] with you. I have walked before you from my childhood to this day. 12:3 "Here I am. Witness against me before the LORD and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received [any] bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore [it] to you." 12:4 And they said, "You have not cheated us or oppressed us, nor have you taken anything from any man's hand." 12:5 Then he said to them, "The LORD [is] witness against you, and His anointed [is] witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand." And they answered, "[He is] witness." 12:6 Then Samuel said to the people, "[It is] the LORD who raised up Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt. 12:7 "Now therefore, stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD concerning all the righteous acts of the LORD which He did to you and your fathers: 12:8 "When Jacob had gone into Egypt, and your fathers cried out to the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place. 12:9 "And when they forgot the LORD their God, He sold them into the hand of Sisera, commander of the army of Hazor, into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them. 12:10 "Then they cried out to the LORD, and said, `We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD and served the Baals and Ashtoreths; but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve You.' 12:11 "And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you dwelt in safety. 12:12 "And when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, `No, but a king shall reign over us,' when the LORD your God [was] your king. 12:13 "Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen [and] whom you have desired. And take note, the LORD has set a king over you. 12:14 "If you fear the LORD and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the LORD your God. 12:15 "However, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the hand of the LORD will be against you, as [it was] against your fathers. 12:16 "Now therefore, stand and see this great thing which the LORD will do before your eyes: 12:17 "[Is] today not the wheat harvest? I will call to the LORD, and He will send thunder and rain, that you may perceive and see that your wickedness [is] great, which you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking a king for yourselves." 12:18 So Samuel called to the LORD, and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel. 12:19 And all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins the evil of asking a king for ourselves." 12:20 Then Samuel said to the people, "Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart. 12:21 "And do not turn aside; for [then you would go] after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they [are] nothing. 12:22 "For the LORD will not forsake His people, for His great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people. 12:23 "Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 12:24 "Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. 12:25 "But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king." |
