| Salomo mendirikan Bait Suci 6:1 Dan terjadilah pada tahun keempat ratus delapan puluh sesudah orang Israel keluar dari tanah Mesir, pada tahun keempat sesudah Salomo menjadi raja atas Israel, dalam bulan Ziw, yakni bulan yang kedua, maka Salomo mulai mendirikan rumah bagi TUHAN. 6:2 Rumah yang didirikan raja Salomo bagi TUHAN itu enam puluh hasta panjangnya dan dua puluh hasta lebarnya dan tiga puluh hasta tingginya. 6:3 Balai di sebelah depan ruang besar rumah itu dua puluh hasta panjangnya, menurut lebar rumah itu, dan sepuluh hasta lebarnya ke sebelah depan rumah itu. 6:4 Dibuatnya juga pada rumah itu jendela-jendela yang rapat bidainya. 6:5 Pada dinding rumah itu sekelilingnya didirikannya kamar tambahan, sekeliling ruang besar dan ruang belakang, dan seluruhnya dibuatnya bertingkat-tingkat. 6:6 Tingkat bawah lima hasta lebarnya, yang tengah enam hasta dan yang ketiga tujuh hasta, sebab telah dibuatnya ceruk-ceruk pada rumah itu sekeliling sebelah luar, sehingga dinding rumah itu tidak usah dilobangi. 6:7 Pada waktu rumah itu didirikan, dipakailah batu-batu yang telah disiapkan di penggalian, sehingga tidak kedengaran palu atau kapak atau sesuatu perkakas besipun selama pembangunan rumah itu. 6:8 Pintu tingkat bawah ada pada lambung kanan rumah itu, dan orang naik dengan tangga-tangga pilin ke tingkat tengah dan dari tingkat tengah ke tingkat yang ketiga. 6:9 Setelah ia selesai mendirikan rumah itu, dibuatnyalah langit-langit rumah itu dari bingkai dan pemapan dari kayu aras. 6:10 Dan setelah ia mendirikan kamar tambahan itu pada rumah itu sekeliling, yakni setiap tingkat lima hasta tingginya, maka rumah itu ditutupinya dengan kayu aras. 6:11 Kemudian datanglah firman TUHAN kepada Salomo, demikian: 6:12 "Mengenai rumah yang sedang kaudirikan ini, jika engkau hidup menurut segala ketetapan-Ku dan melakukan segala peraturan-Ku dan tetap mengikuti segala perintah-Ku dan tidak menyimpang dari padanya, maka Aku akan menepati janji-Ku kepadamu yang telah Kufirmankan kepada Daud, ayahmu, 6:13 yakni bahwa Aku akan diam di tengah-tengah orang Israel dan tidak hendak meninggalkan umat-Ku Israel." 6:14 Setelah Salomo selesai mendirikan rumah itu, 6:15 ia melapisi dinding rumah itu dari dalam dengan papan kayu aras; dari lantai sampai ke balok langit-langit dilapisinya dengan kayu aras, tetapi lantai rumah itu dilapisinya dengan papan kayu sanobar. 6:16 Kemudian disekatnyalah dua puluh hasta bagian belakang rumah itu dengan papan kayu aras, dari lantai sampai ke balok-balok; lalu dibuatnyalah ruang itu menjadi ruang belakang, menjadi tempat maha kudus. 6:17 Dan empat puluh hasta panjangnya ruang yang di depan ruang belakang itu, yakni ruang besar. 6:18 Kayu aras sebelah dalam rumah itu berukirkan buah labu dan bunga mengembang; semuanya ditutupi kayu aras, tidak ada batu kelihatan. 6:19 Demikianlah dilengkapinya ruang belakang di dalam rumah itu, di sebelah dalam sekali, supaya di sana ditaruh tabut perjanjian TUHAN. 6:20 Ruang belakang itu dua puluh hasta panjangnya dan dua puluh hasta lebarnya dan dua puluh hasta tingginya. Ia melapisinya dengan emas kertas, lalu ia membuat mezbah dari kayu aras di depannya. 6:21 Sesudah Salomo melapisi rumah itu dari dalam dengan emas kertas, direntangkannyalah tabir pada rantai-rantai emas yang di depan ruang belakang itu, lalu ruang itu dilapisinya dengan emas. 6:22 Seluruh rumah itu dilapisinya dengan emas, ya rumah itu seluruhnya; juga seluruh mezbah yang di depan ruang belakang itu dilapisinya dengan emas. 6:23 Selanjutnya di dalam ruang belakang itu dibuatnya dua kerub dari kayu minyak, masing-masing sepuluh hasta tingginya. 6:24 Sayap yang satu dari kerub itu lima hasta panjangnya dan sayap yang lain juga lima hasta, sehingga dari ujung sayap yang satu sampai ke ujung sayap yang lain sepuluh hasta panjangnya. 6:25 Juga kerub yang kedua adalah sepuluh hasta panjangnya; dan kedua kerub itu sama ukuran dan sama potongan badannya. 6:26 Tinggi kerub yang satu sepuluh hasta dan demikian juga kerub yang kedua. 6:27 Maka ditaruhnyalah kerub-kerub itu di tengah-tengah ruang yang di sebelah dalam sekali; kerub-kerub itu mengembangkan sayapnya, sehingga kerub yang satu menyentuh dinding dengan sayapnya dan kerub yang kedua menyentuh dinding yang lain, sedang sayap-sayap yang arah ke tengah rumah itu bersentuhan ujungnya. 6:28 Dan kerub-kerub itu dilapisinya dengan emas. 6:29 Dan pada segala dinding rumah itu berkeliling ia mengukir gambar kerub, pohon korma dan bunga mengembang, baik di ruang sebelah dalam maupun di ruang sebelah luar. 6:30 Juga lantai rumah itu dilapisinya dengan emas, baik di ruang sebelah dalam maupun di ruang sebelah luar. 6:31 Sebagai pintu masuk ke ruang belakang dibuatnyalah pintu dari kayu minyak; ambang dan tiangnya merupakan segi lima. 6:32 Pada kedua daun pintu yang dari kayu minyak itu ia mengukir gambar kerub, pohon korma dan bunga mengembang, kemudian dilapisinya dengan emas; juga pada kerub dan pada pohon korma itu disalutkannya emas. 6:33 Demikian juga untuk pintu masuk ke ruang besar itu dibuatnya tiang-tiang dari kayu minyak yang merupakan segi empat; 6:34 dan dua pintu dari kayu sanobar; kedua papan pintu dari pintu yang satu dapat dilipat dan demikian juga kedua papan pintu yang lain. 6:35 Lalu diukirnyalah padanya kerub, pohon korma dan bunga mengembang, kemudian dilapisinya pintu itu dengan emas pipih pada gambar ukiran itu. 6:36 Ia mendirikan tembok pelataran dalam dari tiga jajar batu pahat dan dari satu jajar balok kayu aras. 6:37 Dalam tahun yang keempat, dalam bulan Ziw, diletakkanlah dasar rumah TUHAN, 6:38 dan dalam tahun yang kesebelas, dalam bulan Bul, yaitu bulan kedelapan, selesailah rumah itu dengan segala bagian-bagiannya dan sesuai dengan segala rancangannya; jadi tujuh tahun lamanya ia mendirikan rumah itu. | 6:1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which [is] the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD. 6:2 Now the house which King Solomon built for the LORD, its length [was] sixty cubits, its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits. 6:3 The vestibule in front of the sanctuary of the house [was] twenty cubits long across the width of the house, [and] the width of [the vestible] [extended] ten cubits from the front of the house. 6:4 And he made for the house windows with beveled frames. 6:5 Against the wall of the temple he built chambers all around, [against] the walls of the temple, all around the sanctuary and the inner sanctuary. Thus he made side chambers all around it. 6:6 The lowest chamber [was] five cubits wide, the middle [was] six cubits wide, and the third [was] seven cubits wide; for he made narrow ledges around the outside of the temple, so that [the support beams] would not be fastened into the walls of the temple. 6:7 And the temple, when it was being built, was built with stone finished at the quarry, so that no hammer or chisel [or] any iron tool was heard in the temple while it was being built. 6:8 The doorway for the middle story [was] on the right side of the temple. They went up by stairs to the middle [story], and from the middle to the third. 6:9 So he built the temple and finished it, and he paneled the temple with beams and boards of cedar. 6:10 And he built side chambers against the entire temple, each five cubits high; they were attached to the temple with cedar beams. 6:11 Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying: 6:12 "[Concerning] this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David. 6:13 "And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel." 6:14 So Solomon built the temple and finished it. 6:15 And he built the inside walls of the temple with cedar boards; from the floor of the temple to the ceiling he paneled the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the temple with planks of cypress. 6:16 Then he built the twentycubit room at the rear of the temple, from floor to ceiling, with cedar boards; he built [it] inside as the inner sanctuary, as the Most Holy [Place]. 6:17 And in front of it the temple sanctuary was forty cubits [long]. 6:18 The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with ornamental buds and open flowers. All [was] cedar; there was no stone [to be] seen. 6:19 And he prepared the inner sanctuary inside the temple, to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there. 6:20 The inner sanctuary [was] twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He overlaid it with pure gold, and overlaid the altar of cedar. 6:21 So Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold. He stretched gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold. 6:22 The whole temple he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the temple; also he overlaid with gold the entire altar that [was] by the inner sanctuary. 6:23 Inside the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim [of] olive wood, [each] ten cubits high. 6:24 One wing of the cherub [was] five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub five cubits: ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other. 6:25 And the other cherub [was] ten cubits; both cherubim [were] of the same size and shape. 6:26 The height of one cherub [was] ten cubits, and so [was] the other cherub. 6:27 Then he set the cherubim inside the inner room; and they stretched out the wings of the cherubim so that the wing of the one touched [one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. And their wings touched each other in the middle of the room. 6:28 Also he overlaid the cherubim with gold. 6:29 Then he carved all the walls of the temple all around, both the inner and outer [sanctuaries], with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. 6:30 And the floor of the temple he overlaid with gold, both the inner and outer [sanctuaries]. 6:31 For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors [of] olive wood; the lintel [and] doorposts [were] onefifth [of the wall]. 6:32 The two doors [were of] olive wood; and he carved on them figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid [them] with gold; and he spread gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees. 6:33 So for the door of the sanctuary he also made doorposts [of] olive wood, onefourth [of the wall]. 6:34 And the two doors [were of] cypress wood; two panels [comprised] one folding door, and two panels [comprised] the other folding door. 6:35 Then he carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers [on them], and overlaid [them] with gold applied evenly on the carved work. 6:36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone and a row of cedar beams. 6:37 In the fourth year the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid, in the month of Ziv. 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it. |
