11:1 Setelah hal itu terdengar kepada Yabin, raja Hazor, diutusnyalah orang kepada Yobab, raja Madon, dan kepada raja negeri Simron, kepada raja negeri Akhsaf, 11:2 serta kepada raja-raja yang di sebelah utara, di Pegunungan, di Araba-Yordan di sebelah selatan Kinerot, di Daerah Bukit dan di tanah bukit Dor di sebelah barat, 11:3 yakni raja-raja orang Kanaan di sebelah timur dan di sebelah barat, orang Amori, orang Het, orang Feris, orang Yebus di pegunungan dan orang Hewi di kaki gunung Hermon, di tanah Mizpa. 11:4 Kemudian keluarlah raja-raja ini bersama-sama semua tentaranya, amat banyak rakyat, seperti pasir di tepi laut banyaknya, beserta sangat banyak kuda dan kereta. 11:5 Raja-raja ini bersekutu dan datang berkemah bersama-sama dekat mata air Merom untuk memerangi orang Israel. 11:6 Lalu TUHAN berkata kepada Yosua: "Janganlah takut menghadapi mereka, sebab besok kira-kira waktu ini Aku menyerahkan mereka mati terbunuh semuanya kepada orang Israel. Kuda mereka haruslah kamu lumpuhkan dan kereta mereka haruslah kamu bakar dengan api." 11:7 Lalu Yosua dengan seluruh tentaranya mendatangi mereka dengan tiba-tiba dekat mata air Merom, dan menyerbu mereka. 11:8 Dan TUHAN menyerahkan mereka kepada orang Israel. Mereka dikalahkan dan dikejar sampai Sidon-Besar dan sampai Misrefot-Maim, dan sampai lembah Mizpa yang di sebelah timur. Demikianlah mereka dihancurkan, sehingga tidak seorangpun dari mereka yang dibiarkan lolos. 11:9 Yosua melakukan terhadap mereka seperti yang difirmankan TUHAN kepadanya: kuda mereka dilumpuhkan dan kereta mereka dibakar dengan api. 11:10 Pada waktu itu Yosua kembali, direbutnya Hazor, dan rajanya dibunuhnya dengan mata pedang. Sebab Hazor pada waktu dahulu adalah yang terutama di antara segala kerajaan itu. 11:11 Semua makhluk yang ada di dalamnya dibunuhnya dengan mata pedang, sambil menumpas orang-orang itu. Tidak ada yang tinggal hidup dari semua yang bernafas dan Hazor dibakarnya. 11:12 Selanjutnya segala kota kepunyaan raja-raja itu dan semua rajanya dikalahkan Yosua dan dibunuhnya dengan mata pedang. Mereka ditumpasnya seperti yang diperintahkan Musa, hamba TUHAN itu. 11:13 Tetapi kota-kota yang letaknya di atas bukit-bukit puing tidaklah dibakar oleh orang Israel, hanya Hazor saja yang dibakar oleh Yosua. 11:14 Segala barang dari kota-kota itu serta ternaknya telah dijarah orang Israel. Tetapi manusia semuanya dibunuh mereka dengan mata pedang, sehingga orang-orang itu dipunahkan mereka. Tidak ada yang ditinggalkan hidup dari semua yang bernafas. 11:15 Seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa, hamba-Nya itu, demikianlah diperintahkan Musa kepada Yosua dan seperti itulah dilakukan Yosua: tidak ada sesuatu yang diabaikannya dari segala yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa. Kemenangan-kemenangan orang Israel 11:16 Demikianlah Yosua merebut seluruh negeri itu, pegunungan, seluruh Tanah Negeb, seluruh tanah Gosyen, Daerah Bukit, serta Araba-Yordan, dan Pegunungan Israel dengan tanah rendahnya; 11:17 mulai dari Pegunungan Gundul, yang mendaki ke arah Seir, sampai ke Baal-Gad di lembah gunung Libanon, di kaki gunung Hermon. Semua rajanya ditangkapnya, dan dibunuhnya. 11:18 Lama Yosua melakukan perang melawan semua raja itu. 11:19 Tidak ada satu kotapun yang mengadakan ikatan persahabatan dengan orang Israel, selain dari pada orang Hewi yang diam di Gibeon itu, semuanya telah direbut mereka dengan berperang. 11:20 Karena TUHAN yang menyebabkan hati orang-orang itu menjadi keras, sehingga mereka berperang melawan orang Israel, supaya mereka ditumpas, dan jangan dikasihani, tetapi dipunahkan, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa. 11:21 Pada waktu itu Yosua datang dan melenyapkan orang Enak dari pegunungan, dari Hebron, Debir dan Anab, dari seluruh pegunungan Yehuda dan dari seluruh pegunungan Israel. Mereka dan kota-kota mereka ditumpas oleh Yosua. 11:22 Tidak ada lagi orang Enak ditinggalkan hidup di negeri orang Israel; hanya di Gaza, di Gat dan di Asdod masih ada yang tertinggal. 11:23 Demikianlah Yosua merebut seluruh negeri itu sesuai dengan segala yang difirmankan TUHAN kepada Musa. Dan Yosuapun memberikan negeri itu kepada orang Israel menjadi milik pusaka mereka, menurut pembagian suku mereka. Lalu amanlah negeri itu, berhenti dari berperang.

11:1 And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor heard [these things], that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,
11:2 and to the kings who [were] from the north, in the mountains, in the plain south of Chinneroth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,
11:3 to the Canaanites in the east and in the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the mountains, and the Hivite below Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
11:4 So they went out, they and all their armies with them, [as] many people [as] the sand that [is] on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.
11:5 And when all these kings had met together, they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.
11:6 But the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire."
11:7 So Joshua and all the people of war with him came against them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and they attacked them.
11:8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who defeated them and chased them to Greater Sidon, to the Brook Misrephoth, and to the Valley of Mizpah eastward; they attacked them until they left none of them remaining.
11:9 So Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.
11:10 Joshua turned back at that time and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor was formerly the head of all those kingdoms.
11:11 And they struck all the people who [were] in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying [them]. There was none left breathing. Then he burned Hazor with fire.
11:12 So all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and struck with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.
11:13 But [as for] the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only, [which] Joshua burned.
11:14 And all the spoil of these cities and the livestock, the children of Israel took as booty for themselves; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, and they left none breathing.
11:15 As the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
11:16 Thus Joshua took all this land: the mountain country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, and the Jordan plainthe mountains of Israel and its lowlands,
11:17 from Mount Halak and the ascent to Seir, even as far as Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings, and struck them down and killed them.
11:18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
11:19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. All [the others] they took in battle.
11:20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that He might utterly destroy them, [and] that they might receive no mercy, but that He might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
11:21 And at that time Joshua came and cut off the Anakim from the mountains: from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
11:22 None of the Anakim were left in the land of the children of Israel; they remained only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod.
11:23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.
