2 Tawarikh 36

Raja Yoahas 36:1 Rakyat negeri menjemput Yoahas anak Yosia, dan mengangkat dia menjadi raja di Yerusalem menggantikan ayahnya. 36:2 Yoahas berumur dua puluh tiga tahun pada waktu ia menjadi raja dan tiga bulan lamanya ia memerintah di Yerusalem. 36:3 Raja Mesir memecatnya dari pemerintahannya di Yerusalem dan mendenda negeri itu seratus talenta perak dan satu talenta emas. 36:4 Kemudian raja Mesir itu mengangkat Elyakim, saudara Yoahas, menjadi raja atas Yehuda dan Yerusalem, dan menukar namanya dengan Yoyakim. Tetapi Yoahas, saudaranya itu, ditawan oleh Nekho, dan dibawa ke Mesir. Raja Yoyakim 36:5 Yoyakim berumur dua puluh lima tahun pada waktu ia menjadi raja dan sebelas tahun lamanya ia memerintah di Yerusalem. Ia melakukan apa yang jahat di mata TUHAN, Allahnya. 36:6 Nebukadnezar, raja Babel, maju melawan dia, membelenggunya dengan rantai tembaga untuk membawanya ke Babel. 36:7 Juga beberapa perkakas rumah TUHAN dibawa Nebukadnezar ke Babel dan ditempatkan di istananya di Babel. 36:8 Selebihnya dari riwayat Yoyakim, segala kekejian yang dilakukannya dan kesalahan yang ada padanya, sesungguhnya semuanya itu tertulis dalam kitab raja-raja Israel dan Yehuda. Maka Yoyakhin, anaknya, menjadi raja menggantikan dia. Raja Yoyakhin 36:9 Yoyakhin berumur delapan belas tahun pada waktu ia menjadi raja dan tiga bulan sepuluh hari lamanya ia memerintah di Yerusalem. Ia melakukan apa yang jahat di mata TUHAN. 36:10 Pada pergantian tahun raja Nebukadnezar menyuruh membawa dia ke Babel beserta perkakas-perkakas yang indah-indah dari rumah TUHAN dan Zedekia, saudara ayah Yoyakhin, menjadi raja atas Yehuda dan Yerusalem. Raja Zedekia -- Runtuhnya kerajaan Yehuda 36:11 Zedekia berumur dua puluh satu tahun pada waktu ia menjadi raja dan sebelas tahun lamanya ia memerintah di Yerusalem. 36:12 Ia melakukan apa yang jahat di mata TUHAN, Allahnya, dan tidak merendahkan diri di hadapan nabi Yeremia, yang datang membawa pesan TUHAN. 36:13 Lagipula ia memberontak terhadap raja Nebukadnezar, yang telah menyuruhnya bersumpah demi Allah. Ia menegarkan tengkuknya dan mengeraskan hatinya dan tidak berbalik kepada TUHAN, Allah Israel. 36:14 Juga semua pemimpin di antara para imam dan rakyat berkali-kali berubah setia dengan mengikuti segala kekejian bangsa-bangsa lain. Rumah yang dikuduskan TUHAN di Yerusalem itu dinajiskan mereka. 36:15 Namun TUHAN, Allah nenek moyang mereka, berulang-ulang mengirim pesan melalui utusan-utusan-Nya, karena Ia sayang kepada umat-Nya dan tempat kediaman-Nya. 36:16 Tetapi mereka mengolok-olok utusan-utusan Allah itu, menghina segala firman-Nya, dan mengejek nabi-nabi-Nya. Oleh sebab itu murka TUHAN bangkit terhadap umat-Nya, sehingga tidak mungkin lagi pemulihan. 36:17 TUHAN menggerakkan raja orang Kasdim melawan mereka. Raja itu membunuh teruna mereka dengan pedang dalam rumah kudus mereka, dan tidak menyayangkan teruna atau gadis, orang tua atau orang ubanan -- semua diserahkan TUHAN ke dalam tangannya. 36:18 Seluruh perkakas rumah Allah, yang besar dan yang kecil, serta harta benda dari rumah TUHAN, harta benda raja dan harta benda para panglimanya, semuanya dibawanya ke Babel. 36:19 Mereka membakar rumah Allah, merobohkan tembok Yerusalem dan membakar segala puri dalam kota itu dengan api, sehingga musnahlah segala perabotannya yang indah-indah. 36:20 Mereka yang masih tinggal dan yang luput dari pedang diangkutnya ke Babel dan mereka menjadi budaknya dan budak anak-anaknya sampai kerajaan Persia berkuasa. 36:21 Dengan demikian genaplah firman TUHAN yang diucapkan Yeremia, sampai tanah itu pulih dari akibat dilalaikannya tahun-tahun sabatnya, karena tanah itu tandus selama menjalani sabat, hingga genaplah tujuh puluh tahun. Koresh mengizinkan orang-orang buangan pulang ke negerinya 36:22 Pada tahun pertama zaman Koresh, raja negeri Persia, TUHAN menggerakkan hati Koresh, raja Persia itu untuk menggenapkan firman yang diucapkan oleh Yeremia, sehingga disiarkan di seluruh kerajaan Koresh secara lisan dan tulisan pengumuman ini: 36:23 "Beginilah perintah Koresh, raja Persia: Segala kerajaan di bumi telah dikaruniakan kepadaku oleh TUHAN, Allah semesta langit. Ia menugaskan aku untuk mendirikan rumah bagi-Nya di Yerusalem, yang terletak di Yehuda. Siapa di antara kamu termasuk umat-Nya, TUHAN, Allahnya, menyertainya, dan biarlah ia berangkat pulang!"

36:1 Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's place in Jerusalem.
36:2 Jehoahaz [was] twentythree years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
36:3 Now the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem; and he imposed on the land a tribute of one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
36:4 Then the king of Egypt made [Jehoahaz's] brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother and carried him off to Egypt.
36:5 Jehoiakim [was] twentyfive years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And he did evil in the sight of the LORD his God.
36:6 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in bronze [fetters] to carry him off to Babylon.
36:7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried off [some] of the articles from the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
36:8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, the abominations which he did, and what was found against him, indeed they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. Then Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
36:9 Jehoiachin [was] eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. And he did evil in the sight of the LORD.
36:10 At the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar summoned [him] and took him to Babylon, with the costly articles from the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah, [Jehoiakim's] brother, king over Judah and Jerusalem.
36:11 Zedekiah [was] twentyone years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
36:12 He did evil in the sight of the LORD his God, [and] did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, [who spoke] from the mouth of the LORD.
36:13 And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear [an oath] by God; but he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the LORD God of Israel.
36:14 Moreover all the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed more and more, [according] to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the LORD which He had consecrated in Jerusalem.
36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent [warnings] to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending [them], because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.
36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, till [there was] no remedy.
36:17 Therefore He brought against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, on the aged or the weak; He gave [them] all into his hand.
36:18 And all the articles from the house of God, great and small, the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his leaders, all [these] he took to Babylon.
36:19 Then they burned the house of God, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its precious possessions.
36:20 And those who escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon, where they became servants to him and his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia,
36:21 to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.
36:22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also [put it] in writing, saying,
36:23 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who [is] among you of all His people? May the LORD his God [be] with him, and let him go up!
